Effects of the cold weather
This morning while I was busy, the cats came shooting through the room. They were visibly upset, their hair was up and they were on alert. I go out in the kitchen thinking maybe we had a cat fight going on outside. Instead, I hear gushing water. Opening up the outside door, I see the washing machine pipes had burst and water was spraying everywhere.
Mike had to go out and turn off the well pump, then it was about an hour’s worth of work to push the water off the porch and into the backyard. But now, with more icy weather on the way, we are really going to have to watch it in the morning, the steps and stoop is going to be so icy.
