The Safe Pet Foods
With so many products now off the shelf, what is left that is safe? I did some phone calling today and some research about this. Most of the people I spoke to were concerned and helpful, others were a tad rude. I felt like they wanted to say “how can you doubt the integrity of this company?” But instead they helped me in a sharp way. I have everyone on Friskies right at the moment. Not the best food, but they also get parasite-free mice and they are all doing well. I called the companies whose websites didn’t mention the recall information.

I am not endorsing these products. I know that the list changes quickly as more problems become apparent. I heard that one website is tracking the deaths of the pets, but I wonder of the validity of that report? The only way to determine the cause of death is to do a necropsy (which can take days to get back the results) and to test the food in an independent lab. I will update this list as much as possible.
