BIG sigh of relief

Tonight, I signed the final, final final papers to become a non-profit! I am now a corporation:CATS. Inc., Caring About The Strays.

This means I now can place my cats on Petfinders.com, take them to Petco to try and find them homes, solicit funds through legitimate fundraisers and look for sponsors as soon as I figure out how!

If anyone wants to sponsor a special needs kitty, I have several here that will apply and the best thing is- it will be tax-deductible for you.

I would go out and celebrate, but instead, I made another payment on my vet bill, bought some cat litter and cat food and I am five minutes away from dumping my shoes on the floor and propping my feet up while I watch some mindless movies with hubby.

He had his MRI today and it was rough for him because he had to lie flat. He can’t breathe right if he lies flat.

It was a year long process to wade through the questions and forms from the government and now it is just a waiting game-

  1. ConCATulations, MA.
I just posted your great news on the CB for Friday.
And a bit about your upcoming auction.
And asked for more purrs and purrayers for Mike.

  2. And I’d like info on sponsoring a special needs kitty… plus we need to get that info out to everyone. This has really opened doors for you. And all the strays in your area.

  3. Yay yay yay!!!!! Congratulations and thank you for all your hard work you deserve it! God is truly good!!!!!! Prayers continue for hubby.

  4. Concats to you. We can only imagine all the mindless trivia you had to do to get here.

We’re still ppuurrrrring to Mike. We hope his problems get a little better soonest.

  5. I am a first time feral cat adopter. I grew up with family cats and have my own. I don’t believe I ever really understood the true meaning of feral cat. But I have one now. I have researched it and I know I have done some things right and probably some wrong. But i would like any suggestions or direction toward any information beyond the first 2 months. My domestic cat, Carla,is a bully and my feral girl, Chyann, is very shy ad does not want to be touched, in any way. I dont want Chyann to remain isolated.. any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks and Congrats for the sake of the animals 🙂

  6. Dawn- on my blog March 12 2008 (I think is the date) you will find a post called Room Service I believe that may be what you need to help you break through Chyann’s force field

  7. I have no idea, but I will look into it for you. The gentleman who did the process for me says he thinks so, but it would be a good idea if you checked it out on your end to find out for sure. I tried googling it, but couldn’t find anything regarding it-
