Results are in and they are not good

Both cats show severe signs of panleukopenia (feline distemper) however you want to say it, the virus is here and stubbornly this virus sticks around waiting for the next victim.

Paris went to the vet today and I was nervous because she hasn’t been able to poop now for three days. But apparently she was just heavily constipated and now she is going like a champ. Other than an URI which most of the kittens are now fighting- she “appears” to be in perfect health. But- that can change in any moment and I pray it doesn’t.

  1. The poor kittens. I wish the results had been good.

I’m glad to read that Paris is doing better, though I wonder in what sort of sport you can become a champ by pooping. I’m not expecting it to receive a television contract in the near future…

  2. So much for optimism. Paris died this morning, it was quite unexpected, but I am learning that is the nature of this beast.

  3. Sometimes the best you can do is to make them comfortable and hang on. Of course at the same time you need to stock up the tissues.
Please remember that they lived longer with you than they would have and that they knew love before they died – they knew you.
