Requesting Prayers

I am busted exhausted. We are rescuing a dog tomorrow and I spent the whole morning working to build a new pen for the two dogs. This dog looks remarkably like Quincy except he is a tad bit older. I have been out since 8:00 a.m. with George working on the new enclosure. George told me that we may not take that great care of our property at times or our house, but we sure do take care of our animals. LOLĀ  We go to meet Kai tomorrow and hope the meet and greet and “sharing” of the food bowls and the truck go well. The woman is in a bad spot and the dog needs a new home pronto. I heard about him on FidoLove.com

Received an email from a lady who lost her one-eyed cat a few years ago. She is interested in fostering (at first) Popeye! She has to speak to her husband tonight when he gets home from work but she was so excited to find the ad and call me about him. Please pray this is the right move for Popeye

  1. You must be Heaven-sent to people who need a place for their beloved animals. And I hope very much that this works for Popeye. Fostering is a good start. It puts less pressure on people – even though fostering and keeping are pretty much the same in terms of logistics, attention, love, etc. Good luck to that cyclops!

  2. The husband said no to Popeye, but there is a home out there for him- I just know it.

My ultimate dream would be if I won the lottery. Of course, you have to buy tickets for that to happen and I am too busy buying canned cat food all the time! LOL But my ultimate dream is buy this place up the road 118 acres and set it up where the elderly can come and live there in cottages (sans kitchens) there would be big dining room kitchen in the middle of the place where everyone would meet for meals. I would call it Senior and Strays and allow the elderly to not only bring their cats into the place, but if they wanted, help out in the care and welfare of the all the strays that live there as well. I firmly believe that a lot of these people wasting away in so called therapy homes wouldn’t be as bad off if they had been allowed to keep their pets with them after life changing moments. It may sound like a dumb dream to some, but it has been my passion for most of my life. I used to work in convalescent homes and hospitals back in the day and saw so many sad people with no life, no family visiting and lack of care. This facility would be an independent living facility should that dream ever come true.
