Switch Grooming
I have been sitting with the cats, while the doors to their rooms are open, and grooming them both with the same cat brush. When Guinevere and Sinatra meet up they both hiss and spit at each other (a remarkable display) meant to intimidate. So far, it has not progressed beyond spitting and hissing. Guinevere doesn’t move off her lounge pad, but she watches Sinatra intently as he checks out the room. Gosh he is gorgeous! Long and lanky and athletic, tawny in color with those brilliant blue eyes.
He likes to be brushed as does Guin except when I go over that fluid-filled pouch the vet suspects might be FIP. Other than that, they are doing quite well, though Sinatra is still vomiting a bit and absolutely refuses to eat wet food. Putting the Drinkwell fountain upstairs for him was the best thing I could do, he drinks it dry about every 3 days, either that or the water is just evaporating.
Off the cat track- my mother had surgery two days ago. She had a hip replacement. I talked to her today, we had a great talk, but she sounded horrible. So weak and unlike her. She was hoping to go home on Monday but it sounds like they will be keeping her a bit longer.
