I Caved….

After two solid nights of no sleep, I contacted a foster family and put Pearl into the care of a very nice gentleman I met through Adopt-A-Pet.com He is 71 years old, lives in one town over from us and is home 90% of the time. I had to bring her to somewhere that would further her healing- her constant meowing is not good on her health. I just got an email from him a few moments ago, she is fine and sitting behind his chair right now. I am hopeful that his steady presence will soothe her and tonight she will sleep (as will I) instead of meowing non-stop. He will stay with her until her spay, then I will take her for 48 hours. I already have her up on Petfinders and CL looking for a family with someone who will be home all the time. The right family who will love her after her spay as she deserves to be.

So I caved, I didn’t meet her needs and I called UNCLE and hopefully have moved her forward in her healing instead of setting her back. Time will tell

Where are these kittens coming from?

It isn’t even “official” kitten season yet, and yet, I have again here at the house another kitten. She was found wandering outside in a field, no momcat in sight, it was storming and she was scared. She jumped into my friends car, and of course, my friend brought her here.

Not the best photo of her right now because B-Dog was prowling about- but here she is-She looks beat-to-hell but she is very friendly.

The Cyclone Project is finished

Right now, all I have to do is sweep off the deck and put out the cat furniture, but the project is finished! We worked around the weather and sore muscles and trips to the Home Depot for supplies but it is finally done. He isn’t out there right now because it is going to dip below freezing tonight. But tomorrow, I am sure he will out there looking out at the world.

We Interrupt the Cyclone Project…

To adopt out McGee to a new, loving family! It breaks my heart to leave cats in new places especially when they are so scared, and poor boy, he was terrified. I am hopeful in a few days, he will be able to relax and find his new mommy as delightful as he found me to be. I will miss him- but I know this is the right thing for him.

Here he is as a kitten-

Blog is getting a facelift!

Someone is going to be giving feralcatbehavior a much needed face lift. They are doing it out of love and I can’t wait to see the new reveal soon. A cyber-Botox injection!

I am thrilled to report that I have found a home for McGee, India and Secret. I also had my first petting encounter with Jackson, the second male from Miss Hisses’ litter. She threw such beautiful siamese mix babies, and I am slowly earning their trust. Jackson has a bad eye, but I haven’t been able to get my hands on him yet to find out really why. I am feeding Lysine but don’t think it is feline herpes virus.

Oh and please keep voting!

The contest is in full swing and CATS Inc., is climbing up the ladder slowly. As the votes are tallied each day, I would like to thank those of you who are voting and/or have voted and ask that you please continue to do so. We have until the end of April before the final results are tabulated. There are so many wonderful prizes besides the money, such as 100 vaccinations for the cats. The higher I can climb, the greater the reward for the cats. Please ask your FB friends to vote as well-

Silly Kitty!

I got a lap dance this morning from Truman! LOL I finally convinced him that he would get more attention ON the couch rather than UNDER it, and so for the first time, he climbed into my lap and I proceeded to pet him. As he really started getting into it- he raised his head and started to sway back and forth- like he was listening to an innner music station. It was very strange. His eyes were closed and he was swaying back and forth. This cat is so silly and you cannot over-stimulate him. He is that starved for affection!

I can just imagine what he is thinking-

We are working only when the weather allows us and I sometimes wonder if this mini-deck is ever going to be done? Mike miscalculated on lumber so it was another run to Home Depot to get more lumber to finish it up. We are using both pet/insect-proofed screen and chicken wire just to be safe.

I can see Cyclone tapping his paw impatiently just wanting us to hurry up-slow humans that we are-

Slow and Steady wins the race:
