Happy Report!

Despite all the work done to her mouth- Missy Shell is eating baby food! YAY! Gosh I love her fighting spirit. When I go to the dentist, I don’t eat for a week afterward!

Purrs, vibes and prayers from all of us

  2. Well done sweet little Shell, your poor mouth must feel a bit better. Our Gerry was a major calici boy, his tongue and mouth were so badly ulcerated when he was dumped at the vets it took months to get his ulcers/infection under control. Pain relief was the biggest challenge, he couldn’t have meloxicam when he was on depomedrol, so we relied on a twice a day shot of buprenorphine when he was at his worst (his tongue frenum was initially stuck to the floor of his mouth by two ulcers) Once the pain was under control, his blood work improved considerably. Hills AD mixed with boiled then cooled water is a nice soft, high calorie food, that is as smooth as babyfood. You probably know this!

Keep on nomming brave little Shell! We are all rooting for you!

  3. I’ve been away — temporarily — with KC and just got back — at 2:30 a.m. — to such GREAT news!
    Wow.
What progress little Miss Shell has made.
    She is so brave.
I was tearing up at the part where you used cornstarch in her dirty furs and she rolled over to let you rub her tummy.
She is also a lover kitty. And she loves you.
    And you love her.
This is such a wonderful story.
    Love & Purrs,
Mom ML & a “steaming” KC
