The Wonderful Revelation

I just went in to do the night feed for the kittens and I could NOT tell the difference between Pumpkin and her sister Autumn! Both kitties are wide-eyed and bushy-tailed and it is glorious (to say the least) to see Pumpkin’s eyes. Her swelling is down substantially. She still has patches of missing fur and some reddened skin- but not like before. Hopefully, the swelling will stay down from here on in and we can just concentrate on bumping up her immune system. She’s running all over the room looking things over and investigating everything. It’s a wonder to behold!

  1. YAY, doing my happy happy joy joy dance for pumpkin, thank you Mary Anne for that wonderful amazing update!!!

  2. Way to go Pumpkin, Aurora, and Mary Anne!!! You all got a lot of folks sending positive thoughts your way…

  3. Yes, although early in the morning, it takes a warm, damp washcloth pressed against her left eye for a few moments for it to open. I tried to get a photo of her with her eyes open, but every time the flash went off- she shut them! But I will post the one photo where you can see the improvement on her face at least.
I also got some medicine from a friend in Texas who rescues. This stuff I started Pumpkin on this morning- it is a combination of all the meds they give for parasitic and bacterial infection. I know the swelling is down because of the pred and the saline treatments, but she is still fighting something internal and hopefully, this will kick its butt!
