Shell is still having off days-

She is eating but just barely. Lots of sneezing and her tongue is coming out more. I had hoped her meds would be here by now, but I stopped by the vet this morning and they haven’t arrived yet.

I had to work most of the day today which was unexpected. Mike said he checked on her several times and fed her and she ate, it just took awhile. We are still having some pretty wild weather so I am hoping that might be part of it. There are two photos below, one a thumb and the other a link that will show her as I found her when I came home tonight.

  1. oh we all have our off days…I marvel at how much better she is looking…when one is loved and safe this makes a world of difference. thank you for loving her so and letting us be a part of her world…

  2. She was just hanging on when you got her….she has come a long way. Be positive and have faith.

I pray for all of you every night.

  3. Poor little Shell. Here’s my hopeful theory. When you rescued her she just couldn’t believe someone would actually care, feed and love her. Her adrenaline was probably SO high that it pushed past all the pain to give you attention to make sure you never left her. Now she is feeling more confident that when you leave you will be coming back and is needing to spend her time healing.

She does have a long road ahead. But with her feeling that someone finally cares, will make all the difference.

  4. Aw, our poor girl. 🙁

But Misses Peach is right, we all have our off days. And she is looking SO much better than just a few short weeks ago.

I’m sure a lot of it has to do with being off her antibiotics. Although there has been a world of improvement she is still a tiny, weak little thing fighting a lot of nasties in her body.

  5. Oh Shell, you just can’t give up now. Sure hope the darn medicine gets there really soon. We are sending tons more purrs for you Shell and lots of love too. So perk up and keep fighting. You will get better. Take care.

  6. It is usually two steps forward, three back. But she is looking so much better! Continued prayers and good wishes to all of you!
